Water levels exceptionally high in Oulujoki and Kainuu
Water levels of lakes in Oulujoki as well as in Kainuu and Koillismaa are high for the season after the rainy autumn. Flow regulation of Jylhämä from Lake Oulujärvi has been increased to a maximum of 650 m3/s under a special permit until the end of the year to control the water situation in the Oulujoki river basin. This has increased the discharges in River Oulujoki to high levels.
