SeaMoreEco Final seminar
The focus of the seminar is:
Satellites, drones, ships and modelling
How can we map, understand and monitor the shallow seabed effectively?
Marine conservation and restoration
How can we work with protection and restoration on the shallow seabed, especially regarding threatened and invasive species?
Cross-border networks for the exchange of experiences
The seminar is aimed at those who work with the marine environment, either in biology or geology, and/or have an interest in how we can monitor seabeds using, for example, satellites and drones.
SeaMoreEco has joined expertise of marine biological and geological management in Finland and Sweden with the overall objective to test, develop and demonstrate methods for efficient monitoring, conservation and restoration of biodiversity on shallow coastal areas. The focus has been on threatened species and habitats and invasive alien species in the northern Gulf of Bothnia. The project has been running for over three years and is now concluding with a final seminar on site in Umeå and with the possibility to participate online. During the seminar, selected parts of the project’s results will be presented together with lectures by invited external speakers.
A detailed agenda will be published closer to the date.
