Topic of this webinar: When restoring nature, one is often advised to engage stakeholders, and especially to involve those who make policy decisions. That, however, is easier said than done. Policymaking is quite a different matter than is research or site management. It has another pace, culture, jargon, and dynamics. Even if those in charge of environmental policy have priorities and objectives that support nature restoration, getting them on board might be challenging.

In this webinar, we will present some real-life experiences and suggestions. Based on some decades of working for biodiversity with policymakers from local to European scales, we will share examples of lessons learned, of both successes and failures. You will hear some tips and tricks, dos and don’ts from local cases and from experience with LIFE and Horizon.
