Our solution
Kemira Superfloc® SD-7083 is a newly developed cationic polymer for wastewater flocculation and sludge treatment applications, mainly sludge thickening and dewatering of digested and secondary sludge. The high-performing structured emulsion polymer helps increase sludge dryness and decrease sludge volumes. This leads to cost savings and minimizes environmental impact. In combination with iron-based coagulants, this technology has led to significant process performance improvements and process efficiency gains, allowing for more efficient chemical dosing in treatment processes.

The wastewater treatment plant in Arnhem Zuid, the Netherlands, increased process performance significantly. The plant size is 327,000 population equivalents (PE) with a throughput of 6,400 m3/h.
