Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has extensive experience in services and research and innovation (R&I) in the field of mine water management and mine water treatment at all stages of a mine’s life. Our expertise consists of hydrogeological research and innovation in mining areas, reactive transport modeling and simulation of groundwater and mining waste. We also are involved in the development of water treatment and recovery of valuables from mining effluent and ore processing, the development of monitoring methodologies and strategies as well as capacity building.
